The jacarandas are blooming and the weather is warming up.

Time to add some colour into the week with our Friday newsletter!

We’ve received a much-needed shipment of MillaMia this week, particularly of the popular neutrals. Perfect for lightweight cardis, baby garments and accessories, MillaMia is proving to be a hit with our customers.

So you’ll be happy to hear that MillaMia has just release two new limited edition colours – Teal and Pumpkin!

Just like the Cobalt and Lime from earlier this year, these limited edition colours are exactly that – limited – so if they catch your eye, you’d better stock up!

The Simple Things

The latest issue of The Simple Things has just hit the store!

Autumn is in the air. In the tap-tapping of a woodpecker; in the crackle of leaves underfoot; in the snip of secateurs. And was that a witch’s cackle? Trees hang heavy with fruit; hedgerows glisten with berries – all ripe for preserving. The kitchen too, sees changes. Casseroles slowly braise; baking bread never smelled so good. There’s as much to love indoors as there is out – as there is within the pages of The Simple Things.

We promised you a few new colours to bring our range to full strength, and we’re happy to say they have arrived! We now stock all 18 colours of Indiecita, our new deliciously soft 4-ply baby alpaca.

We’re pleased as punch to reveal the very special Christmas issue of Reloved – packed full of upcycling and craft inspiration for gifts, wrapping, festive fashion, home decorations and much more!

In Festive Fashion projects there are some brilliant ideas on how to spruce up your old outfits for a fresh Christmas party look. Make a gorgeous flower brooch from an old t-shirt and pin it to your top for a new look – or why not make a batch as presents for your friends?

There are also some lovely ideas for transforming your home into a sparkling festive haven this year! How about a homemade Christmas stocking, made from an old tablecloth? There’s nothing better than hanging up your own very special stocking above the fireplace… well, apart from having it filled with presents, that is!

And, of course, there’s plenty of fun to be had decorating the tree! Try some of the Midweek Makes, like these cute knitted mitten ornaments, to give your home the handmade touch – other ideas to make in an evening include a twig-embellished wreath, homemade silver crackers, festive bunting and unique glitter candle holders.

Not forgetting the popular Furniture Revamp tutorials, there are also a selection of projects to make your home glow. Turn an old commode chair found at a flea market into some clever craft storage, or make an incredible side table from nothing but rolled up magazines!

Keep an eye out next week for more December details.

On the Needles at Tangled Yarns

We tease Anita sometimes about her passion for beige, but look at how beautifully these three neutral shades of Cascade Ultra Pima work in her Vera. This is a great little top for spring, and would be lovely over linen pants or flowing skirts.

Arleen has been crocheting up a storm! She brought in a colourful selection of Rist Canyon Shawls in a selection of yarns and hues, including The Fibre Company’s Canopy Fingering and Pierrot’s Pont du Gard linen.

Hot off Robin’s needles is this super cute Griffin by Georgie Hallam in some of our colourful Noro Taiyo.

I couldn’t resist casting on a teeny shop sample in our new Indiecita 4-ply baby alpaca. The result was this sweet Eole, the soft ecru yarn livened up by a selection of colourful buttons.

Inspiring your passion
