We’re halfway through September already – is it just me, or is spring just flying by?

I know lots of you are working on your cardis and tops for our Spring Knit- and Crochet-along. Here at Tangled Yarns, we have had trouble deciding what to cast on – could it be because we still have one or two unfinished summerweight projects leftover from last year?

But they count too, don’t they?

We might have cast on a couple of new projects as well…

If you haven’t joined in already, there is still plenty of time. The Knit- and Crochet-long will run until the end of November.

Biggan Design

Our weekly top-up of Biggan has arrived, meaning our shelves are once again exploding with glorious colour. Even though the weather is warming up, there are plenty of projects that this versatile yarn is still ideal for.

And just in time for school holidays, we’ve received some more pompom makers!

On the Needles at Tangled Yarns

When Maureen and Rachel heard that Linsey was being discontinued, they immediately snaffled enough to knit a Summer Flies each.

One in beautiful blue, and one in gorgeous pink…

Rachel also finished a Fruit Salad Hat in delicious sorbet shades of The Fibre Company’s Canopy Fingering. Yum, it looks good enough to eat!

Over the weekend one of our regulars, Terri, brought in this finished owl – Aloysius the African Flower Owlet Crochet Pattern, crocheted in a combination of Noro Taiyo Sock and Cascade Heritage Silk.

How cute is he?

Andrea has been busy working on this stunning crochet ripple blanket as a gift for her parents. The colours of our Cascade 220 Superwash Worsted have worked so well together.

I wore my linen Lineal Cardigan constantly last summer so thought I had better add another one to my rotation.

I actually started my Colour Block Cardigan by Chiaki Hayashi in our Pierrot Pont Du Gard last October, along with one of our lovely customers, Roslyn. She whipped hers up in next to no time, whereas I was terribly sidetracked.

The warmer weather enticed me to pick it up again and I am thrilled to be wearing it today!
