Another week has flown by and we find ourselves at Newsletter Friday once again!

We have new inspiration to share with several hot off the press magazines plus deliveries of yarn & needles.

We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Interweave Knits

The Fall issue of Interweave Knits packs in a lot of knitting – cables, collars, pockets, textures, colourwork, lace and more!

In rustic tweeds and luxe blends, a nod to menswear throughout the collection makes for sporty outerwear and tailored classics.

Learn about fisherman’s rib, Clara Parkes’ new yarn company, and more.

This week we have had another of our regular Noro deliveries. A few different Noro lines including Shiro, Kibou & Silk Garden have been topped up.

(Keep an eye out for the new stock of Silk Garden, as it will hit the shop after Saturday’s entrelac workshop!)

The Simple Things

Take a break this weekend with the latest copy of The Simple Things.

What most of us want is a holiday we remember – that secret cove we had to ourselves on a sunny day, the simple salads we rustled up for lunch, the holiday home we wished was ours.

The little things stay with us too; that brilliant pair of flip-flops we wore every day, having the time to watch a bee gather nectar or a spider weave a web.

Knit Pro

After several Learn To Courses over the last few weeks we were in desperate need of a Knit Pro top up.

New stock has now arrived, including stock of our Karbonz fixed circular needles and our full range of interchangeable tips and cables.

Mollie Makes

Issue 43 of Mollie Makes has arrived in all its groovy glory!

Topping the craft chart this month while keeping our desks spick and span are The Mollies. Plug in to their making melodies and whip up our brand new trends projects including watermelon heels and party pineapple stirrers.

Our pick of the props is Debee Ruiz’s yarn tassels, so versatile we’ve found four ways to spruce up everything from photographs to gift wrapping with ’em. More yarn projects include the crochet fedora, chuck-it-all-in crochet clutch and crochet cherries.

We also meet expert weaver, Maryanne Moodie who tells us more about her yarn of choice and the creative process behind her woven wall hangings. While swooning over the breathtaking textures, try the technique and upcycle your chair with a woven seat by April Rhodes.

Other projects include: a quilted board game, hand-printed pennant flags, and leather luggage tags for your summer adventures.

Our final winter delivery from Cascade has just walked through the door.

This delivery includes many of our most popular colours that have long been on back order. We will be processing and clearing as many backorders as possible; however Cascade has advised that a few colours are still on the way from the mill and should arrive in the coming weeks.

We have also topped up our super popular 220 Superwash Worsted and a few of our other fast movers from Cascade.

Simply Crochet

Take on a new crochet challenge with the latest issue of Simply Crochet.

It’s packed with 28 sunny makes, including top designer Kat Goldin’s beautiful, vintage-style cardi in a golden mustard shade – fantastic. Learn how to make Solomon’s Knot stitches, give colourwork a go and make a gorgeous Tunisian crochet shopping bag.

In the mood for something sweet? Hook a tasty doughnut pincushion, and let your pins form the sugary sprinkles. There’s a pair of adorable baby sandals to stitch, too, and you can makeover a little one’s room in a jiffy with our collection of oh-so-pretty patchwork pentagon makes.

We’re making the most of the sunshine this month, turning our garden into a crafty paradise with colourful crochet cushions, plant hangers, tiles and more, all inspired by Morocco. Plus, there’s a length of playful ice cream bunting to hang outside and a delicate motif that’s just perfect for handmade table linen.

Lucy from Attic24 waxes lyrical about vibrant crochet mandalas as she gears up for this year’s Yarndale festival, we find out how a community came together to crochet their city, and we learn more about Sarah Hatton’s passion for crochet and her excitement for the Handmade Fair in September.

Plus, make sure you don’t miss our super cute amigurumi dinosaur duo, retro cushion project and free owl key ring kit. Get stitching.
