With the temperature going up and down like a yoyo, it’s hard to know whether to knit warm woollen pullovers and beanies or crochet lacy linen scarves! It’s no wonder that the weather has become somewhat of an obsession…

Here though we are still bravely preparing for a winter which, although it officially starts on Sunday, shows no sign of settling in for more than a day or so.

Mystery Knit-A-Long

The Kelbourne Woolens MKAL is keeping us on our toes – knitted in the lightweight Meadow, it is an ideal project for this on-again-off-again weather!

Clue C is due to arrive in our inboxes this Sunday after a little break last week.

I am still yet to catch up with Clue B…perhaps this weekend I can knock over both Clue B and C!

With two new Learn To Crochet courses starting this week, we have had a huge run on all things crochet!

Luckily, we’ve unpacked a nice big delivery from Clover, and we have all sizes of our Clover Soft Touch Hooks and Clover Amour Hooks back in stock.

Our Clover tools and accessories, including stitch markers, row counters and darning needles have all received a top up as well.

Brown Sheep

With the unusually warm weather, our cotton blend Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece has been a popular choice.

Our shelves have received a nice top up and are chock full of colour once again.

Milla Mia

We have been thrilled at how well our new range from Milla Mia, Naturally Soft Merino, has been accepted by our customers. Stock has been flying off the shelves and becoming all sorts of amazing projects.

Luckily a new delivery has just arrived!

On the Needles at Tangled Yarns

Having seen the pattern prototype being worked on in store, Julia couldn’t resist beginning her very own Coco Cowl when it was released. The sapphire and citrine of our Road to China Light really pop against the warm neutral background.

Liz has been a busy girl, taking only slightly more than a week to produce this beautiful version of our Cross My Heart Blanket in our 128 Superwash Chunky for her daughter. Lucky girl!

Perfect for this changeable weather is Maureen’s Gilet court d’ete in our Noro Taiyo. The subtle colourway and classic, simple style will be great with a range of outfits.

Lush and lacy Henslowe by Beth Kling is Kim’s latest, knitted up in beautiful silvery Pashmina from her stash.

With an overseas move in the offing, Rachel has been stashbusting. This week’s result were the super cute Sporty Striped Peds in our Cascade Ultra Pima Fine.

My Dad’s friend in Melbourne admired the hat I made for him, so I made him one too!

This time it was a bit of a Frankenstein version, merging
Christopher by Jane Richmond with Bankhead by Susie Gourlay for a toasty warm topper with heaps of manly style.
