With the 1st of December on Sunday, many of our little ones will be counting down the days to Christmas with the help of Advent calendars. Why should they have all the fun?

We’ve devised our own crafty version of an Advent calendar for our wonderful customers, providing a little holiday inspiration each day leading up to Christmas Eve.

Make your way over to our Facebook page on Sunday to see the first of our Christmas posts! I will be sharing not only knitting, crochet & yarnie ideas but loads of general festive fun!

Following tremendous customer interest last week, our crochet market bag kits sold out incredibly quickly.

This week, as well as additional market bag kits, we are increasing our selection with Light Loose Loop kits.

Comprising the Light Loose Loop cowl pattern by our talented Derrin and a skein of Berroco Linsey in a selection of summery shades, this kit is perfect to work up quickly for teacher’s gifts or stocking stuffers, or as a fabulous gift idea for a fellow knitter.

We sold out of our first shipment of the lovely Jane Austen Knits in record time, luckily a new shipment has arrived this week!

A top up of the popular Holiday Gifts was also in our delivery!

With the hook being the choice of many at this time of year, our range ofClover crochet hooks has been hit hard over the last few weeks. New stock has hit the shelves, all sizes are back in stock in both theClover Soft Touch and Clover Amour hooks.

All of our nifty clover knitting & crochet accessories have also been topped up.

Our summer range of light & cool linens, cotton & paper yarns from Pierrot have enabled many to keep the needles and hooks cool over these warmer months.

Today we are expending the Pierrot range with something extra special…

On The Needles at Tangled Yarns

Last Saturday Roslyn popped in to share with us a second hat in our Pierrot Amian.

The pattern she has used is Raffia Cloche by Pierrot, with a few modifications to make the brim a little larger.

Claudia, one of our wonderful Tech Support Students has been busy making gifts for her sons teachers.

She has modified the Queen Anne’s Shawl by Rebecca Velasquez so that it is narrower and more scarf like.

The yarn is our Cascade Ultra Pima, making this a great warmer weather gift.

Also in our Cascade Ultra Pima is this beautiful Mapleton by Deanne Ramsay.

Another Tech Support Student, Michelle has just finished this most adorable gift for a friends baby.

This is an adorable tiny Beyond Puerperium by Kelly Brooker in our Cascade Ultra Pima Fine, finished off perfectly with a selection of our vintage style buttons.

Rachael has had her hook flying again and has finished another Solid Granny Square Bottom Bag by BobWilson123 in our Berroco Linsey.

For her daughter, a Pierrot Cotton Neat Blooming Flower Cushion by Lucy of Attic 24.

And last, but certainly not least – Heavenly Heathers by Carol J. Sulcoski from our 60 Quick Baby Blankets book.

Rachael has used a combination of our Cascade 220 Superwash Worsted and our Biggan DK Merino.

This book has been super popular, if you would like a copy please let us know and we will add copies to our next Cascade order.

A second finish Knit A Long project from Maureen! She loved her first so much that she had to make a second Summer Carnival by Georgie Hallam, this time in our cool Cascade Ultra Pima Fine.

Doing a little stash busting and using up a left over skein of our Cascade Eco Wool, Maureen crocheted up this stunning Willow by Lisa Gutierrez.

I have been working on and off over the last few months on a very special little project, you may recall seeing a rather large pile of colourful tiny flowers a few weeks back.

They have finally become a finished project!

A wonderful friend is due to have a babe any day now and I couldn’t help but to welcome her into the world with some yarnie love…

The pattern is Bobble Flower Granny Square Blanket by Revlie Schuit and I have used our Cascade Ultra Pima Fine.

Using the finer yarn has created a finer, lighter blanket, ideal for a touch of shade over the pram or a splash of colour in the cot and the lovely texture of the little flowers will be perfect for tiny fingers to play with.
