Yarn Bowls

We have had loads of requests for yarn bowls so over the past few months I have been working closely with an amazing local potter to develop Tangled Yarns very own range of yarn bowls!

Hand delivered this afternoon – we have these two stunning yarn bowls

They are approximately 13cm wide and 11cm high with a swirl cutout and two yarn holes.

Keep and eye out for more to come!

With so many lovely spring and summer projects to work on, we find the crochet bug bites harder than ever at this time of year.

A new delivery of our most popular hooks from Clover – the Soft Touch & Amour range arrived early this week to fill up our shelves.

The second part of our shipment of Yarn Pop bags has arrived!

Back Issues

To make it easier to fill any gaps in your magazine collections, we have moved all pre-2013 magazines into their own Back Issue category on our website!

Since most of the knitting and crochet magazines are published in the northern hemisphere we receive magazine issues in the opposite season to ours here in Australia.

It is often not until months later that we realise we actually wanted a copy of that winter magazine that arrived smack bang in the middle of the summer heatwave.

Take a look at some great buys from all our favourite brands, including Interweave Knits, Mollie Makes, Simply Crochet, and Knit.Wear.

On The Needles at Tangled Yarns

Maureen has certainly been bitten by that crochet bug!

She started this cushion some time ago and this week she decided to pull it out and finish it off.

The pattern is
Blooming Flower Cushion by Lucy of Attic24 and Maureen has used a lovely selection of colours from our Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece collection.

Off the needles for Maureen is this super sweet little cardi, Mary Mary by Andrea Black.
Maureen has used some of the beautiful tosh merino light from our last madelinetosh shipment.

Mary Mary would also look fantastic in many of our fingering weight yarns including our Malabrigo Sock, Sweet Georgia Tough Love Sock or The Fibre Company Canopy.

Liz had a little leftover Noro Kureyon from her super cute slippers last week so she decided some quick stash busting was needed.

These lovely little coasters are
Joy Joy Coasters by zoom yummy.

Welcoming an addition to the family is always a special time and Robin is enjoying spoiling her new little grandson with some adorable hand knits from our Kelbourne Woolens Baby Collection book.

This sweet little nappy cover is
Darling by Courtney Kelley, knitted in our Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece.

Also in
Cotton Fleece,Harold by Courtney Kelley.

Derrin was keen to make something in our beautiful new
Berroco Linsey and it was Lucia Tee by Helene Rush that caught her eye.

There has been a lot of chatter at the shop this week about the crazy number of projects we all seem to be casting on. With a bad case of start-itis and an ever-growing pile of WIPs
(works in progress), Anita decided to commit to finishing a few languishing projects.

After assessing her WIPs for something on the verge of being finished she picked up the Whisper by Hannah Fettig that she started…some two years ago!

She was just a little thrilled this morning when she arrived with it all finished!

So I guess that means she can cast on something new this weekend?
