Knitscene Fall 2013 is here with 21 knitting patterns that are perfect for our mid season knitting.

Missoni-inspired chevron stripes take centre stage and Mercedes Tarasovich-Clark deconstructs basic chevron shaping techniques, while the “wrong side” of knitting gets its day in the sun with four cardigan and sweater patterns featuring reverse stockinette stitch.

Meet Cassie Castillo, a knitter who is living the dream, and knit one of her four designer collection patterns.

Plus, four knitting patterns that create the look of cables without the bother of a cable needle, and so much more.

Our extensive Knit Pro range has also been topped up this week including all sizes of the Symfonie & Nova needle tips in the regular tip length and the shorter tip length (perfectly matched with the 40cm cable for easy hat knitting).

Ella Rae

A new delivery of our Ella Rae Lace Merino has hit the shelves. We have topped up on all our most popular neutrals to go with those crazy brights.

I adore this yarn, it is a great weight for everything from scarves, shawls through to lightweight garments.

Whats on the Needles at Tangled Yarns

Our lovely Liz might be a little addicted to the Going Around in Circles Scarf by Mimi Alelis…this is her third!

Liz has used our Noro Taiyo Sock, this time in colour #045

As a gift for her sister – Rill Scarf by Miriam L Felton in our Malabrigo Silkpaca. I can’t wait till our next shipment of this yarn arrives!

Rachel has been getting a little bit hat happy this week and has whipped up more hats for her family!

Henley Button Hat by Kristy Childress in two gorgeous colours of our Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran will keep Rachel’s niece nice and warm.

I love the square buttons with the stripes.

In some of our Malabrigo Rios from her stash, a Button Tab Hat by Marcie Nishioke.

Finished with two of my favourite buttons from our collection.

The third hat off the needles was a quick Turn A Square by Jared Flood in our Cascade 220 Superwash Worsted.

Last and certainly not least is this simply beautiful Colour Me Pretty Hat by Elena Nodel. Rachel has used a few stash yarns plus the super sweet Peach colour of Cascade 220 Superwash Worsted.

A very special gift for Rachel’s sister….a Swallow Cowl by Hannah Fettig in our Fibre Company Canopy. I love these two colours together!

My mum was after an easy to wear, neutral cowl to pop on as an extra layer of warmth. I loved knitting my first Downton Cowl by Shannon Cook back in April.

This time I opted for our Fibre Company Road to China Light as I was after a slightly smaller version.

I have used a 4mm needles and reduced the width by one lace repeat.

Hope it keeps my mum warm and toasty…

Inspiring your passion
