This week we have new magazines, new yarn and new colours plus lots of finished projects to share.

I know I am looking forward to snuggling up with the latest magazines this weekend…

Mollie Makes

The latest issue of our fabulous Mollie Makes arrived during the week.

tangledYARNS

Issue 26 is full of fun ideas for your weekend, including chunky crochet blankets, simple stitched skirts, vintage applique pillows and cool hipster dolls. Plus some super decorating ideas using pastels.

From Mollie Makes….

It’s party time, so were making headpieces for that formal do, then its a crafty night in with the girls – sewing a skirt while sipping a cocktail. Bliss. Needles out to French knit a very special necklace, and when its time to entertain the little ones, you can’t go wrong with some classic finger puppets – pick a pooch, and play!

Then were climbing the wooden hill, to Bedfordshire, off to sleep on appliqued pillows.

Addi

This week we are excited to announce the arrival of the Addi Click Long Lace Tips!

My favourite Click set would have to be the Long Lace, just the right tip sharpness and needle length. I am so glad to be able to purchase the Long Lace Tips as there are a couple of sizes that I need multiples of.

Whats on the Needles at Tangled Yarns

One of our fantastic tech support students, Claudia has finished another great Autumn top.

Pintuck T-Shirt by Lien Ngo in our Cascade Ultra Pima.

The wonderful Rachel popped in earlier this week to share a very special gift she has finished.

This beautiful blanket is Tweed Baby Blanket by Jared Flood in our Berroco Ultra Alpaca.

The colour combination is just perfect! Eggshell, Slate & Winter White.

Kim fell in love with this colour in our Malabrigo Arroyo as soon as it arrived! She finally decided on the perfect project…Arabesque by Amy Curletto.

tangledYARNS

Alice has been busy over the past few weeks, first off the needles is this simply stunning Roxborough Dolman by Courtney Kelly in our Cascade Ultra Pima Fine.

tangledYARNS

The cotton makes this a very versatile top to wear in our warm climate and the oversize nature of the pattern allows for adding layers underneath in the cooler months (perfect with skinny jeans!).

Next Alice finished this gorgeous little cardi for a last minute birthday present…finished with just enough time to block and gift wrap!!

The pattern is Granny’s Favourite by Georige Hallam.

Alice chose our beautiful Cascade Eco Alpaca for its buttery softness and the soft silver grey should match most outfits.

This is the size three and used just under 2 skeins. Next up is a big sister version in a size eight!!

tangledYARNS

With the days cooling I needed to make a new kindy cardigan for my littlest one.

Alice and I had a giggle as we both came into the shop on the same Saturday a few weeks ago with the same pattern in mind!

tangledYARNS

For my Granny’s Favourite by Georige Hallam I opted for our new Cascade 220 Superwash Worsted in a cheery yellow.

To adjust for the slightly thicker yarn and the 4.5mm needles I knitted a size four with the size five length for my almost five year old miss.

tangledYARNS

For that instant splash of colour to my wardrobe I couldn’t go past our new Fibre CompanyAcadia in Kelp.

This is the lovely Downton Cowl by Shannon Cook.

tangledYARNS

I have a few friends expecting new babes so decided to whip up a couple of pairs of little booties to have ready.

These super sweet little booties are Flower Slippers by Hayley Missingham in our Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino.

They are a little addictive to make….

  1. Your site is lovely! I love my Addi Clicks but the short lace ones work better with my arthritic hand (I am an olllld 28 year old). Good vibes from the Buckeye state!
