Annie & the Swiss Cheese Scarf
I am super excited to announce that our shipment of the new children’s book, Annie and the Swiss Cheese Scarf, has arrived!

Annie and the Swiss Cheese Scarf by Alana Dakos

really wants to learn how to knit.

But when her mummy teachers her the stitches, she feels frustrated that her knittingg looks more like swiss cheese than a real scarf.

Will she slow down, be patient, and keep trying?

Annie and the Swiss Cheese Scarf is a story about overcoming hurdles to learn something new, even with it’s challenging.

In addition to the story, Annie and the Swiss Cheese Scarf also contains special features.

Find the Cat and Mouse – Annie’s Cat and mouse friends are hiding on every page. Can you spot them?

Learn to Knit – A knitting instruction section in the back of the book will assist your child in learning the basics.

For those of you wanting to knit along or perhaps teach your little one to knit, Alana’s Annie’s Swiss Cheese Scarf pattern is available free on Ravelry and would be the perfect match with our Cascade 128 Superwash Chunky!

Whats On the Needles at Tangled Yarns
Sadly our door wreath from last year was affected by the humidity and it doesn’t look like it will last another year.

(although I have an idea of how to save all of our beautiful felted leaves….)

So a new door wreath was needed…..
with the help of my Miss 4 earlier this week we created this one.

Several hours of winding around and around, changing colours and the excitement of which colour would come next.

I think it is just perfect on our front door, bright, happy, simple and colourful!

Now just to add a couple of finishing touches to it…

With December here tomorrow I thought I had better get a start on some of my gift knitting!

First up I made a little set of adorable coasters in our Debbie Bliss Eco Cotton.

The pattern is Four Round Doily by Teena Sutton Murphy.

If you follow us on Facebook you may have noticed some project planning going on.

I have been smitten with these colours in our Ultra Pima for weeks now and have been itching to use them. I have several plans but for now I have started with some embellishments for some little cotton tops for my girls.

They are so in love with these that they have requested some as little gifts for their friends!

You will have to wait until after the silly season to find out what my plans are for the remaining yarn….

Speaking of the silly season – this week another Liesl by Ysolda Teague has flown off my needles. I have used our Ultra Pima in # 3703 – Magenta.
I think this dress / cardi combo will be my festive season outfit! Perfect for parties and get togethers.

Inspiring your passion!
