Last night the shop was buzzing with our new batch of keen students attending week two of our November Learn to Knit and social knitter & crocheters enjoying some time in the lounge.

Our weekdays have been busy with our three Technical Supoort sessions, new projects being cast on and plenty of project planning with her students.

I have been tracking several shipments on a daily basis and if all falls into place we should have some exciting new deliveries during December!

With November almost over I am falling terribly behind on my gift knitting. About to go on the needles will be some quick cowls for my little girls teachers. Although they are out of season just now, I am sure they will be much appreciated come Winter and those chilly playground duties!

I am going to use our Cascade Baby Alpaca Chunky and the Drop Stitch Cowl by Abi Gregorio, similar to the one that I made myself earlier this year.

If I cast on slightly less it will become a one skein project and easily doable in an evening.

Friday Finds…
random patterns that I have fallen in love with this week

Brown Sheep
A small top up shipment of our super popular Brown Sheep yarns arrived earlier this week.

We have new stock of both the Cotton Fleece and Cotton Fine, including some of our most popular back ordered colours on the way to us this week.

Another of our regular deliveries of Biggan Design yarns hit the shelves earlier this week.

With many people opting to crochet over the warmer months we have had to replenish our range of Clover Soft Touch crochet hooks!

All sizes are now back in stock.

A small top up from Namaste including some new colours in our favourite styles has just arrived!!

We have the wonderful Harlow now in rich Espresso and vibrant Canary Yellow.

And the handy Zuma in delicious Pumpkin Spice and calming Caribbean Blue.

For those of you that like to colour co-ordinate the Skinny Mini is now available in Canary Yellow too!

Many of the other colours and bag styles we ordered were out of stock and placed on back order. The good news is that they are due to ship in early December so we should have heaps of colourful bags and accessories just in time for Christmas.

If you would like to place a custom order for your dream bag or accessories to pop under the tree this year email your order to tangled@tangledyarns.com before the end of November.

Striped Stocking Pattern

It was lovely to receive such wonderful feedback about our Striped Stocking pattern last week.

After some final tinkering during the week the pattern is now available in store and will be available on Ravelry from this weekend!

Baby Hat Pattern

It is always such a pleasure to share in the excitement of an impending babe.

We have many new mum’s-to-be and first time grandmothers popping into the store unable to contain their joy, fingers itching to cast on something for new little ones that are on the way.

With this in mind I have designed a baby hat pattern with the flexibility to mix and match depending on the desired style.

The pattern is now available in store, with kits ready from next week and the pattern will be available on Ravelry from this weekend!

Whats On the Needles at Tangled Yarns

Our lovely Maureen popped in this week to share some of her freshly off the needles projects!

First up we have a divine Thalia by Kirsten Kapur in Malabrigo Sock (terracotta).

Another shawl for the in between seasons, Tribune Scarflette by Breean Elyse Miller in Malabrigo Arroyo (english rose)

And a light weight summer scarf to add a pop of colour,
Flutter Scarf by Wee Sandy in Cascade Ultra Pima Fine (Pink Sapphire)

Kim is almost never without a blanket on the needles or hook, this one is her latest.

A crochet Chevron Blanket in our Cotton Fleece.

I can’t wait to see where the colours go next!
