Our Tangled week has been a busy one, full of classes, social groups, happy shoppers and even a Baby Shower! (more on that shortly…)

With the season continuing to warm up we are finding most of our knitters and crocheters are gravitating towards our Cotton Fleece, Ultra Pima / Pima Fine & Heritage Silk but plenty of gift knitting is also on the needles.

Handmade With Love
Last Sunday we had the pleasure of hosting our very first Tangled Yarns Baby Shower!

The wonderful mum-to-be Jess wanted to make a blanket for her babe with squares knitted by her family and friends.

Everyone was given a little gift of a pair of needles and some instructions for knitting the square.

Those that could knit had the needles clicking away in no time and Derrin was on hand to assist those that needed some extra help.

There was even the most amazing ‘knitted’ cake!

Whats On the Needles at Tangled Yarns
It appears we all can’t resist our Ultra Pima this week….

Another spectacular knit off the needles for Anita!

This is Drifwood by Isabell Kraemer.

Anita has used our Cascade Ultra Pima in #3759 Taupe and #3767 Deep Coral.

You may have noticed the super sweet bunting in our photos of the Baby Shower.

These were a gift from Alice to the mum to be – Jess. Alice has used our Cascade Ultra Pima.

Derrin is on a run with her cardigans this year!

This is Bellevue Cardigan by Laura Chau in our Cascade Ultra Pima.

Two quick projects off the needles for me, again also in our Cascade Ultra Pima.

First up is a crocheted cardi inspired by the sweet bolero’s that Kim and Derrin have been making.

Hard to believe but I have made yet another Liesl by Ysolda Teague!

Liesl is simply the ideal summer weight cardigan for me, it is quick and only takes a couple of skeins of our Cascade Ultra Pima or Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece.

I think I have maybe two more colours to go for this season and I will be done!

Our friends at BrisStyle are getting ready to give the earth a big handmade hug with they return to Hamilton with their indie Eco Market!

Sponsored by local eco fashion magazine, Peppermint and supported by Reverse Garbage, this niche event will showcase the wares of those BrisStyle members who live, craft, stitch and dye by the mantra of reduce, reuse and recycle.

Every handmade item for sale at the eco market must meet BrisStyle’s strict eco-criteria, guaranteeing ethical shoppers can purchase unique and exquisitely made creations without putting a strain on their wallers or our earth’s precious resources.

Along with this amazing handmade wares, there will also be a selection of vintage collectibles and craft de-stash items all from the collections of BrisStyle members.

Back by popular demand will be their indie Eco Workshops where participants will be able to explore their creative sides and “make and take” eco items as well as learn newfound skills.

Head along and see first hand why these markets are renowned for being Brisbane’s hottest destination for everything handmade with an eco edge.
