Another stunning winter week with the winter sun shining!

Our constant flow of stock has continued this week with deliveries popping up most days, adding more colour to the shop.

I have been doing my usual pattern browsing this week, new stock always makes my fingers itch to pick up the needles & hooks.

A few random patterns that have caught my eye…

Drop City by Kitman Figueroa would look amazing in our Noro Silk Garden Sock, Taiyo Sock or our Malabrigo Sock.

For a pop of colour to brighten up your winter wardrobe how about Kyra by Andrea Black in our Tosh Sock or Malabrigo Sock.

One of our long time favourites has recently released another divine pattern, Marin by Ysolda Teague. I can just see this in our in Madelinetosh Pashmina or Malabrigo Arroyo.

On the Needles at Tangled Yarns

A couple of our wonderful customers Liz and Roslyn started an little knit a long with each other last Saturday afternoon at social knitting.

They both decided that they loved the Capelet Tank by Cathy Carron from the latest Knit.Wear magazine.

This is Liz’s finished Capelet in our Noro Silk Garden Lite, less than a week later!

Our first shipment of Knit.Wear sold out super quick but I have a second shipment on the way.
(I also have more Jane Austen mags heading this way if you missed out)

Kim has inspirited many cast on this week with her hot off the needles Hitchhiker by Martina Behm.

She has used our Noro Silk Garden Sock in colour #269 and our Noro Taiyo Sock in colour #02.

Also finished this week is a pair of mens socks for Kims Son in-law in our Berroco Sox.

Last week I whipped up a quick scarf for a lovely friend, every time I looked at colour #29 in our Noro Taiyo I thought of her.

This is a smaller version of the Instant Gratification scarf that I made earlier in the year.

This time I cast on 22 stitches and only used a single ball.

Smitten with Kims Hitchhiker I couldn’t resist casting one on in our Noro Taiyo Sock in colour #08 that has been tempting me since we first received our shipment.

I am using our Cascade Heritage Silk in Natural as the contrast colour.

Anita and I were chatting about our favourite cast ons earlier this week and two that popped up were the German Twist Cast On method and Norwegian Twist Cast On.

It is always nice to have a couple of different cast ons up your sleeve and when searching for some patterns that suggested different cast ons we came across the lovely Rikke Hat pattern by Sarah Young.

Of course I had to cast on in our Malabrigo Arroyo in Purpuras….just to test a few different cast ons!

Inspiring your passion!
