Friday Favourites

I’m trying to remain focused on finishing Babette this week, so very
close! Yet my fingers have been itching to cast on…next on my
list is going to be my big girls first school cardi. I
couldn’t go past our Biggan Designs range – the versatility with
softness, machine washable and of course the colour range!

I am going
to make this sweet little FairIsle Yoked Cardigan by Debbie Bliss in
this range of colours, should match her school uniform well.

To share my excitement of a new project on the horizon and
love of the colour range available ALL Biggan Design yarns are this weeks Friday Favourite.

Blanket – A – Long Update

Saturday I saw several blankets being pulled out from hibernation and
brought along to our social group! I had a break from creating
squares for my blankets and had an end weaving in weekend.

so lovely to see all these beautiful blankets that will be warming
winter homes in the next few months.

also had several customers come in to purchase yarn for our ever
popular Missoni Inspired Blanket. This pattern is available as a free
download from Ravelry or copies can be picked up instore along with
the required yarn, Biggan Design DK.

It is an ideal time to
start your very own Missoni Inspired Blanket with our Biggan Design
yarns being our Friday Favourite this weekend!

My Babette on the
home stretch, I am working on the final ‘block’ of squares but after
trying if on my Miss J’s bed I have decided that it needs more length
and will be adding an 11th Block. Fingers crossed I can
keep up the momentum and have a finished blanket next weekend.

forget that my Blanket Technique Classes are on every second Saturday
afternoon from 1pm – 2pm. Dates can be found on our class calendar here.

Bookings are essential, please phone the store on 3666 0276.

spending time with like-minded knitters and crocheters…so much
enthusiasm and inspiration flowing and of course there is always
plenty of giggles.

have been a touch humid this week so settling down in our lounge area
to enjoy some air-con, good company and great food is an ideal way to
spend a few hours…our perhaps the entire day!

of food – this week we have some delectable Pecan Brownies and
scrumptious Peach Crumble Muffins.
