It has been another busy week here at Tangled Yarns, stock arriving faster then we can process it! We have all been enjoying unpacking the new 2010 stock of Noro yarns, what a feast for the eyes.
To celebrate the new colours across the whole range, Noro is this week’s Friday Favourite.
Stitches on needles and yarn on hooks
Bright woollen colours and new pattern books
Tangled Yarns bundles tied up with strings
These are a few of my favourite things!
All Noro Yarns
Malabrigo Sock is ideal for so many projects, not just socks! Scarfs, shawls, cardigans, the list is endless.
There was also a small top up of the lace weight and worsted. Our next shipment will be not far behind with new colours and new yarns…
Although it is no longer March our love affair with Malabrigo is far from over, now is the ideal time to try these amazing yarns if you haven’t already been bitten by the bug.
It was so much fun to see everyone’s creations fly off the needles and hooks for Malabrigo March, so much so that I thought we would offer three prizes!
Randomly selected we have –
Emma Ranie, with her lovely just enough ruffles. Emma has shown how running out of yarn doesn’t have to be a disaster! I adore the contrasting colour, very nice. Emma has won a skein of Malabrigo Worsted.
Carmel Walsh, with her Pearl Ten Avast. Carmel has some dedication to complete a men’s project within the month and has also won a skein of Malabrigo Worsted.
Amanda Boskell, amazed us all by completing not one, not two but three shawls during March! Amanda wins her choice of either a skein of Malabrigo Silky Merino or Lace weight.

(all prizes are to be selected from in stock colours)
April KAL Update
If you are at all clucky it is seriously dangerous to visit our April Knit A Long thread as there are oh so sweet little Sugar or Spice bonnets popping up everywhere!
My little lavender bonnet and booties have been on display in store over the past week and everyone can’t help but comment on the cuteness of the pattern.
I think my next bonnet with be in this sunny yellow Cashmerino Aran…
By now it is fairly obvious that I have a serious soft spot for Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece but who could blame me! With such spectacular range of colours and being delight to work with regardless of knitting or crochet.
Another order bursting at the seams with colour has arrived this week.
For me one of my favourite parts of a project is the small things, be it putting the perfect yarn with a pattern or finishing something off with just the right buttons.
We continue to expand our button range and I am forever on the search for that next perfect button.
I have started to receive some wonderful little bundles of green hearts; it really is just lovely to see so many people taking the time to contribute to this great community project.
In addition to the green hearts we also have some yarn bundles ready to go for some mushrooms! These can be knit or crochet, you can find some pattern suggestions here or here.
Mushroom yarn bundles or green heart yarn is available free of charge in store why not pop in this weekend and join in the fun!
Inspiring your passion!
